Hi everybody!
Do you build your seats yourself or do you buy them ready-to-use?

Wow! Truly DIY, that’s part of the D-BOX spirit for sure, love it!
Niiiiice! How were you able to mount the controller unit inside? (read: getting the screws in, in such a tight space)
In my Jaymar seat, the controller was mounted in the arm rest just like yours, but has the screws in slanted and…the unit rattles. (so my tip would be to mount some felt or foam layer under the unit)
Hi! Thanks for your Feedback! And a Happy new Year to everyone!
Nothing rattles in my seat. I screwed the Acm directly to the wood inside the seat with wood screws. I used a Bosch IXO with an angle attachment to attach it, it works really well.
Hey everybody.
Maybe this is another good diy project for different movie seats! It is adjustable for every Seat.
All you need is some alu profiles and some screws.
This is quickly becoming my favorite thread! Awesome to see what everyone is doing!
Nice!!!
@ecummins.d-box.com thanks!
Maybe someone else have a DIY project?
My next project will be a 4 actuator System , but here in Germany it is Hard to find just the actuators and acms for This project, specialy in Used condition. Maybe i will creat a video for the new setup how to build your own Seat.
Maybe someone have a 4 axis System to sell for a good Price ?
Awesome build, just curious is that a G1? If so where did you get those L brackets for the actuators. I can’t find them is there a part number for them.
Hi ! Thank you so much
Yes, This is a G1 3250c System. The L-Brackets came with the System. Spare Parts are really hard to get, i already mentioned that at D-BOX:-)
I am new here. But I just acquired a G1 4250 system and am starting my DIY project. I plan to build a platform from extruded aluminum that will hold two of my current chairs. My wife wants a loveseat system. Should be a fun build. I will post some more as I make some progress.
Looks like a great project! Keep us up to date. We love to see those creative projects!
Here is the platform I am planning to build out of 4590 extrusion. The SP (spacers) are where the chairs attach to the platform.
Hey Byran,
Nice project! Please keep us updated, we would love to see the final result!
Making good progress now. I recieved the framing material about two weeks ago. I have been working on building the platform and attaching the chairs. I did reinforce the chairs a little to make them stronger. Only thing left is the mount the ACMs to the platform and put the system into place. Then the testing and fun can begin.
The platform adds about 5" to the height of the chairs. It may affect the back row sight lines, but we will see. I did run the DBOX tests on the system and everything is working. My PC is working on downloading all the content now so it will be ready when the chairs are done. I hope to try my first movie this weekend!
Hey Bryan, wow!! Nice progress!! Thank you for sharing the results with us! Keep us updated, we love to see your projects
